Action Frames!

Quick Stick figure animation did from boredom on class. The trick was to try and express an anticipation to make the pose seem like a dynamic stance, sort of like Akuma's foot pounding stance.

Peaceful Ballerina Structure

Anatomy study I did pretty much from my head that kinda got outta hand. It all started out as a random sketch (they all do) then I just turned it into a digital piece. Seems like I'm getting the hang of adding muscles in the right places. But it's sad to have to break it down to a lack of detail to make her look more feminine, because I lose all my hard work I did on those hidden muscles. But anyway enjoy the video it has good music and can make any bad mood into a peaceful one. Good-bye.

Evil vs Good Facial Characters

Here's a little quick lighting animation, done in photoshop something me and my friend threw together in 2 mins. He  was sketching away at his own style of the main character in the movie Tangled while I was jaw dropping my face at the computer screen at the skills of the artists that worked on the movie. He pretty much tried to prove to me that it was easy to draw just as good as the artists at Dreamworks. Low and behold he kinda got off track and drew an evilish kinda version of the main character. I took a quick look at his drawing and erased some features and said there now he looks like a good guy. So placing them next to each other would could see for yourself who's evil and who's good. This showed me that simple little and subtle details can really make a character. Little things like his mouth grinning and the line extending from his nose also the longer line by his jaw made him look like a sinister type of character erasing those few features changed his whole look making him look more humble, younger, and innocent. These key things are ways to manipulate the facial character of a character.

Random Day Sketched

So I check out Newgrounds today, for some kinda inspiration, all kinds weird wacky and dry humor "shit" on there and well I ran into Super Villan. Some little mischievous annoying evil guy that goes around making any good or bad situation WORSE! I felt like I could relate to the little bugger because we all got a little bad side in us that want's to mess up someone's good day ( or maybe that's just me) but anyway He looked pretty cool doing his badass stunts and chillin on his makeshift boat, so I made a triumphant quick one for em. Then I figured let me give him some epic pose to back that up and so on and so forth.

If you wanna check out his Misadventure you can click this link to see him ruin people's lives

MUHAHAHAAA-cough-haaa!

I've created a monster(My First walk animation)

This is my very first walk animation that I have finally completed.
took 88 frames to make him take two steps and realise he is being watched by a person behind a screen.

Heres a look at some of the frames

He kinda gets a girly kinda walk on the second line of frames which is complete no intended, but hey.

Through this animation process I was just kinda freestyling it and letting it all flow along from action to action with the previous frame. Nothing really planned out so the walk stretch and frightened movements are kind of just random. I learned that there's alot to animation then just keyframing step by step. In the process your building forms to almost like 3d to stay and have a consistent shape, line and size must stay consistent to give the element of life to a character scene or whatever it is that's in motion. Subtle motions are just as important as live motions. If the character is moved even slightly it is going to affect the animation in a huge sense. You can see that when the stick figure jerks his head back right before he looks at the screen, it took about 1 frame to make that motion look like a quick head jerk rather then 3 or frame transitioning frames.
Transition, they are also a major part, that's maybe the most important part of movement is the pieces inbetween to get rom point A to point B which makes the animation fluid and giving it the illusion of actually motion. Also I discovered that not every frame is required in a transition, when making the stick figures like come in contact with the ground, to show that his leg moved a little faster I deleted a frame to give the leg some speed cutting down the time between point A and B and filling in the transition less. by making the leg move alot farther from the previous frame gave it that quick leg step and contact with the ground almost like how we walk in real life.

It was really fun finally making my first walking and animated character. I thought it was alot harder then what it acutally is, but this is jsut the first of many. And I'm all the people in room hearing me loudly and annoyingly rejoice after my first accomplishment in animation are happy that I'm done too!
